extensive experience in musical theatre production that includes having worked alongside Manolo
Fabregas and Otto Sirgo as Assistant Director and Producer for the Mexican production "Como Ama
la Otra Mitad" starring Julio Aleman. Her experience includes over fifteen years of directing and
choreographing such musicals as "Cats", "Crazy for You", "Phantom of the Opera". "Jesus Christ
Superstar", "Grease", "Song and Dance", "Beauty and the Beast", "Annie" at the Gusman Center for
the Performing Arts, "High School Musical", "Seussical",, "Broadway Record Breakers",
"Thoroughly Modern Millie", "Beauty and the Beast" and recently the Florida's Premier of "13" from
Jason Robert Brown. Originally from Mexico, where she was a three time national jazz competition
winner, her passion for theatre and dance brought her to New York City where she studied under
Chet Walker. The depth and breath of her experience both on and behind the stage is significant,
encompassing the technical aspects of tap, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and acting as well as costume/
set design, directing and producing. Her work has won various awards which have included best
public access television series (Westchester, NY) as well as numerous commendations for her
significant contributions to the performing arts in the community.
Ben was in the Original Broadway Cast of "My One & Only" starring Tommy Tune and Twiggy.
After being cast in the First National Tour of "Dreamgirls" he was able to join Actor's Equity
Association (the stage actor's union). Prior to working on Broadway, he landed a job dancing in Los
Angeles, in the "Blues Brother's Movie" and joined the Screen Actor's Union (SAG). He also danced
in the Movie "EDDIE" starring Whoopi Goldberg. He has choreographed & appeared in television
commercials for Levi's 501 Jeans, Harrah's Casino, and Mazda to name a few. He has performed on
Cruiseships for Royal Caribbean and Carnival, Casino Shows in Mississippi and here in Pompano,
and in local productions of AIDA, Chicago, HairSpray, The Life, Smokey Joe's Cafe & West Side
Story. He composes music and has produced vocals, in his home recording studio, for 3 different
Record Labels in Italy. Originally from North Carolina, he has spent the last 10 years as a Voice
Coach and Vocal Director here in South Florida, and continues to perform regularly :-)
A native New Yorker, Soprano Rebekah Diaz is very happy to call Miami her new home. While
completing her Master's degree in opera from Manhattan School of Music, Ms. Diaz held a selective
private voice studio and also served as Summer Voice Faculty at Manhattan School of Music where she
taught acting, voice, and music theory. Also active in Manhattan School of Music Outreach Department
she was able to bring classical music to inner city youths by teaching chorus and music throughout the
New York metropolitan area.
Ms. Diaz performed as a soloist on The Clippership Cruise Line, and with The Pittsburgh Opera Theater,
the Pittsburgh Ballet, The Mendelssohn Choir, The Bronx Opera, and The Opera Orchestra of New York
at Carnegie Hall. She has performed in several operatic productions with Manhattan School of Music and
has performed lead roles in musical theater and opera productions while earning a BFA from Carnegie
Mellon University. A member and supporter of the New York based group "Alma", whose purpose it is
to expose the public to the little known genre of Classical Spanish and Latin American repertoire, Ms.
Diaz performs annual concerts to promote this beautiful genre. She has most recently completed a season
with the Sarasota Opera and Miami Lyric Opera and is part of the professional octet at the Church by the
Sea in Bal Harbor. Ms. Diaz can be seen performing often in collaboration with the New World
Symphony in Miami Beach and in solo performances with the SOBE institute. Ms. Diaz is teaching every
Saturday group class and is available for private classes.
Fredy is a native South Floridian, born and raised on Key Biscayne. He has been playing
the piano for 16 years and enjoys composing. At the age of 9 he began working with the
Key Biscayne Music and Drama Club and was seen onstage in Pirates of Penzance and
You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. He later became its President and went on to stage-
manage, produce and direct many shows including Steel Magnolias and Social Security.
Fredy was also seen on stage at the Actor’s Playhouse Children’s Theater productions of
The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh and Merry Christmas Winnie-the-Pooh. He has
also worked with The Edge Theater appearing in several productions. He has most recently
worked as the Musical Director for Immaculata-La Salle High School staging Seussical the
Musical and Alice and Wonderland. He has a deep passion for the Performing Arts and is a
very big advocate of education and sharing his passion and knowledge with others.
